Got a lot of things going on in the month of September to mark the 2-year anniversary of my first novel, "Prossia." There's gonna be some announcements, prizes, and other giveaways. Speaking of giveaways, be sure to check out the Prossia Giveaway being hosted at Goodreads throughout the entire month. ^_^

I know. I know. I'm late to the game. :P Anywho, I now have a blog up where people can watch the process of my latest illustrations. It's mainly geared more around my writing, but hey. It's been getting more attention for my book and even some more commission work than usual. Check it out at the raphyelmjordan.blogspot.com/ provided.

Hellooooooo! I know I've been posting up art work, but it's been awhile since I've mentioned anything going on behind the scenes. You've probably noticed by now, but I haven't posted any Prossial artwork for the past couple of months. Well, it's for a reason! Most of the time I used to spend making Prossia illustrations has been replaced with working on query letters, synopsis, and cover letters for literary agencies.

I'm hoping to get "Prossia" traditionally published, from here on out. The indie publishing was a fun and great experience. Sadly, it's also proven that I wasn't prepared to handle the marketing scheme so much. Also, whenever I did find an opportunity to get some sort of promotion for "Prossia," I wasn't allowed to follow through due to my lack of "creditably." People tend to get a little squeamish whenever they hear the term, "self-published." It's understandable, though. I mean, anyone and their pet dog can publish a book on their own nowadays! :P I was hoping to go the more traditional publishing route anyway. I know it'll take a great deal more of time and work, but I get the feeling that the effort will prove more rewarding.

And for the record, if there's anyone out there wanting to self-publish, GO FOR IT! Just be sure to know your marketing plan before you jump in, 'kay? In the meantime, stay tuned for more artwork! Later!
